This policy explains what information Preflight Alpha collects and how we use it. It covers information about you as a visitor or customer — not the public government records about aircraft that make up our reports.
What we collect
Email address — when you request a report, join a waitlist, or contact us, so we can deliver the report or reply. Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. A functional cookie — a signed token that identifies the reports your browser has purchased, so your paid reports stay unlocked. Basic server logs — standard request data for security and reliability.
Aircraft data is public record
The registration, accident, service-difficulty, and airworthiness-directive information in a report comes from public U.S. government sources. It is not personal information we collect about you.
How we use your information
To deliver and unlock the reports you buy, process payments through Stripe, respond to your inquiries, and operate and secure the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Stripe processes payments under its own privacy terms. AI processing— a report’s plain-English summary is generated from the public aircraft records (not your personal data) by an AI provider. We otherwise share personal information only as needed to run the service or comply with the law.
Cookies
We use an essential, signed cookie to remember which reports your browser has unlocked. It is not used for advertising. Any future analytics will be disclosed here.
Retention and your choices
We keep purchase and contact records as needed for our business and legal obligations. To ask what we hold about you, or to request deletion, contact support@preflightalpha.com. [Attorney to finalize retention periods and any state-specific privacy rights.]

The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children.
